Patrice Neveu has named his 20-man squad early. He surprised many with his decision to drop team captain Shabani Nonda. "My choice is based on my analysis of the last game," Neveu said. "It is a decision I have taken as part of my responsibility as coach." LuaLua will hope to cement his place after managing only ten minutes of DR Congo´s last qualifier against Egypt due to an injury he was carrying. DR Congo face Malawi in Blantyre on October 11. They must avoid defeat if they are to stand any chance of progressing to the next round of qualifiers.
