Upload main image here: ![]() ![]() | Stoke chairman John Rudge is a disappointed man after Tony Pulis missed out on the Football League Managers´ Championship Manager of the Year award. The gong went to Tony Mowbray, who guided West Brom to the Championship title but Rudge believes Pulis also deserved it for winning automatic promotion with Stoke. After just missing out on a play-off place with the Potters last season, Pulis made no mistake this time around and guided them straight up, by finishing in second place. Speaking before the awards, Rudge said: "I´m obviously a little biased but I would love him to win. "Tony Mowbray has done well getting West Brom promoted and to the semi-final of the FA Cup, as has Gary Johnson at Bristol City. “But it would be great if Tony could cap off the year by winning the award." ![]() ![]() ![]() |
