I knew him because he was at Orient when I was a trainee. He’s come on leaps and bounds because he was a bit, I’d say erratic, when he was at Orient! There’s Craig Mackail-Smith who’s scoring a few goals. He’s done well coming from non-league. He’s proved he can play at a higher level. Then there’s Micah Hyde, who’s been there, done that in the Premiership. He’s surprised me. He’s very calm. He doesn’t boast about what he’s done in his career. He just gets the ball down, and plays. It’s a very hungry young team. I think that’s why we’re doing so well. Everyone wants to prove themselves. A lot of players have come from non-league so they all want to show they can play at the highest level possible. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
